Online facilitation is more similar to in-person facilitation than you might imagine. Once you become comfortable using online tools and methods, you will be able to facilitate virtual meetings and workshops as easily as you facilitate them in person.
These workshops are most appropriate for organizations, and independent facilitators who want to learn how to facilitate their own virtual meetings.
In this highly participatory 2-hour workshop, you will learn and practice the following things:
- How to prepare yourself for a virtual meeting
- How to prepare your participants for the virtual meeting
- How to ensure meeting privacy and confidentiality
- Which settings you should use based on the purpose of your meeting
- How to fully utilize the host controls, with particular focus on: breakout rooms, the collaborative whiteboard, the chat room, and the participant panel
- How to use other virtual collaborative tools to make your life easier, such as shared documents and e-signature options
- How to effectively engage participants in a virtual environment so they more fully participate
- How to monitor non-verbal feedback in a virtual environment
You will walk away with a training guide that aligns with the workshop.
